MAC Cigarettes Guide: What Adult Smokers Should Know
MAC cigarettes pop up a lot when Australians look into slim and super slim cigarettes. Unlike brands focused on the usual, standard sizes, MAC really carves out a spot in the super slim category.
If you’re digging around for info on MAC in Australia, chances are you’ll see Mac Super Slim – Ice Cool Blast show up on sites like AUS Cig Shop.
MAC is also grouped within AUS Cig Shop's Superslim Cigarettes Australia collection alongside products such as Oscar Super Slim Ice Cool and selected Esse products.
So, MAC is a brand to keep an eye on if you’re checking out things like:
- MAC cigarettes in Australia
- Mac Super Slim
- Mac Super Slim Ice Cool Blast
- Prices for MAC cigarettes in Australia
- Mac slim or superslim varieties
- How MAC stacks up against brands like Oscar or Esse
- The difference between super slim and regular cigarettes
One thing to flag: there’s a difference between the MAC brand itself, the specific products, and what you see described on websites from other countries. Not everything you read will match what’s available or legal here.
Keep in mind, too—Australia’s rules around tobacco got a big update from July 1, 2025. These changes cover things like flavours, flavour-altering accessories, how cigarettes are sized, and even filter designs. So what you find online might not always match what you’ll actually get your hands on locally. The Australian Government states that these changes do not reduce the health risks of smoking and that no tobacco product or level of smoking is safe.
This guide explains what adult smokers should know about MAC cigarettes, with a particular focus on the current Mac Super Slim – Ice Cool Blast product listed by AUS Cig Shop.
Important: Cigarettes contain nicotine and are addictive, and smoking causes serious health problems. This article is for adults who already smoke and are researching tobacco brands and product characteristics. It is not a recommendation to start smoking.
1.0 What Are MAC Cigarettes?
MAC is a cigarette brand that is particularly associated with slim and super slim cigarette formats.
Rather than being known primarily for one traditional cigarette profile, MAC is often encountered in searches relating to:
Super slim cigarettes
Slim cigarettes
Ice-style cigarette names
International cigarette brands
Alternative cigarette formats
For Australian adult smokers, the most relevant MAC product currently listed by AUS Cig Shop is:
Mac Super Slim – Ice Cool Blast
The current website listing identifies the product as a 10-packet carton containing 20 cigarettes per packet, giving a total of 200 cigarettes.
MAC is therefore especially relevant to the broader superslim cigarette category rather than simply being another conventional cigarette brand.
If you want to compare MAC with other cigarette formats, the Cigarette Collection provides a broader view of the cigarette products currently displayed by AUS Cig Shop.
2.0 MAC Cigarettes in Australia
The current AUS Cig Shop website places MAC within its super slim range.
The dedicated Superslim Cigarettes Australia collection states that the category can include brands such as Esse, Oscar and MAC, depending on current availability.
The same collection currently displays:
Mac Super Slim – Ice Cool Blast
Oscar Super Slim Ice Cool
and describes superslim cigarettes as products with a slimmer format compared with conventional cigarette designs.
This is useful for understanding where MAC fits within the store's overall product structure.
Rather than treating MAC as a completely separate category, it can be viewed as part of a broader:
Slim → Super Slim → International Cigarette Brands
3.0 What Is Mac Super Slim – Ice Cool Blast?
Mac Super Slim – Ice Cool Blast is currently the key MAC product listed by AUS Cig Shop.
The current listing shows:
Product Detail Current Listing
Brand MAC
Product Mac Super Slim – Ice Cool Blast
Format Super Slim
Carton 10 packets
Cigarettes per packet 20
Total cigarettes 200
The product is therefore particularly relevant to searches for:
Mac Super Slim Australia And Mac Super Slim Ice Cool Blast.
The product name combines the brand, cigarette format and “Ice Cool” positioning.
However, it is important not to assume that the phrase Ice Cool automatically means that the current product contains menthol.
Australia's tobacco laws prohibit menthol and certain other flavour characteristics, as well as accessories such as crush balls and flavour beads.
Therefore, the safest way to describe the product for an Australian audience is to refer to its current product name and listed format, rather than making unsupported claims about its exact flavour ingredients.
4.0 What Does “Super Slim” Mean?
The most obvious characteristic of Mac Super Slim is the super slim format.
Super slim cigarettes are designed around a narrower physical profile than conventional cigarette formats.
The difference can affect how a cigarette:
Looks
Feels in the hand
Draws
Is held
Compares visually with conventional cigarettes
However, the term super slim describes cigarette format.
It does not automatically describe:
Nicotine strength
Tobacco quality
Health risk
Safety
Actual nicotine exposure
This distinction is important.
A thinner cigarette is not automatically a safer cigarette.
The Australian Government specifically states that the 2025 tobacco changes do not reduce the health risk of smoking and that no tobacco product or level of smoking is safe.
For a broader explanation of the physical differences, see Slim vs Regular Cigarettes: Which Is Better in Australia?
5.0 Mac Super Slim vs Regular Cigarettes
The easiest way to understand MAC is to compare its super slim format with a conventional cigarette.
Feature Mac Super Slim Regular Cigarette
Physical format Super slim Conventional
Diameter Narrower Wider
Appearance Slimmer Traditional
Draw Can feel different Conventional
Product category Super slim Regular
Health risk Harmful Harmful
The biggest difference is therefore physical design.
A conventional product such as Dunhill Red provides a useful comparison because it represents a more traditional cigarette format within the AUS Cig Shop range.
6.0 What Does “Ice Cool Blast” Mean?
“Ice Cool Blast” is part of the product's name and clearly positions the cigarette around a cooling-style concept.
However, Australian tobacco regulations make flavour descriptions more complicated than they were historically.
From 1 July 2025, menthol cigarettes and menthol accessories such as crush balls were prohibited from sale in Australia. Certain other flavours, including rum and clove, were also restricted.
Australia also prohibited tobacco-product accessories such as:
Capsules
Crush balls
Flavour beads
that can alter the flavour or smell of tobacco products.
Therefore, the phrase Ice Cool Blast should be treated as the current product's name and positioning, not as proof that the cigarette contains a prohibited menthol capsule or other banned accessory.
7.0 Is Mac Super Slim a Menthol Cigarette?
This is one of the questions that can easily create confusion online.
The current AUS Cig Shop product is called Mac Super Slim – Ice Cool Blast, but a product name alone does not establish its ingredient composition.
Australia's current laws prohibit menthol tobacco products and flavour-altering accessories.
Therefore, it is better to avoid describing MAC as a current Australian “menthol cigarette” unless the exact current product specification establishes that fact.
For readers researching the history of menthol cigarettes, AUS Cig Shop also has a dedicated Top Menthol Cigarettes for Australian Smokers article.
That article can provide broader context about why menthol searches remain common even though Australia's legal tobacco market has changed.
8.0 Mac Super Slim vs Oscar Super Slim
One of the most natural comparisons for MAC is Oscar Super Slim.
AUS Cig Shop's superslim collection currently includes both:
Mac Super Slim – Ice Cool Blast
Oscar Super Slim Ice Cool
The store also has a dedicated Mac vs Oscar Super Slim: Australia Comparison article.
This makes Oscar the strongest contextual comparison for MAC.
The two brands share an important characteristic:
Both are associated with super slim cigarette formats.
The differences are more likely to involve:
Brand
Product variant
Tobacco blend
Filter
Product specifications
Price
Individual preference
rather than simply the physical format.
9.0 Mac Super Slim and Cigarette Filters
The filter is an important part of any cigarette.
It can affect:
Draw
Smoke delivery
Mouthfeel
Physical feel
Overall smoking experience
However, Australian tobacco regulations now restrict unique filter designs.
The Australian Government states that cigarette sticks must follow standardised dimensions and that unique filters are banned.
This means older international descriptions of MAC products may contain filter features that do not correspond to current Australian-compliant products.
For Australian readers, current product information should therefore take priority over older international catalogues.
10.0 Does Super Slim Mean Mac Has Less Nicotine?
Not necessarily.
This is one of the biggest misconceptions surrounding slim cigarettes.
The word super slim describes the cigarette's physical format.
It does not automatically tell you:
How much nicotine is in the cigarette
How much tobacco it contains
How much smoke a smoker inhales
How harmful the product is
Nicotine exposure can depend on the tobacco blend, cigarette construction and smoking behaviour.
Therefore, it is incorrect to use the word “super slim” as a synonym for “low nicotine.”
The same principle applies to words such as:
light
mild
smooth
slim
None of these terms means that a cigarette is safe.
11.0 Is Mac Super Slim Safer Than Regular Cigarettes?
No.
This point should be extremely clear.
This kind of comparison comes up a lot for people researching the difference between slim and regular cigarettes in Australia.
Now, just because MACs look slimmer, that doesn’t mean they’re safer. Australia’s Department of Health makes it clear: the upcoming 2025 tobacco reforms won’t make smoking less risky, and there’s no safe type or amount of tobacco. So, the real difference between MAC and regular cigarettes like Dunhill Red comes down to shape and style, not health.
That means a comparison article should focus on:
Format
Product design
Brand
Tobacco profile
Specifications
Price
rather than implying that one cigarette type is healthier.
12.0 Mac Cigarettes and Australia's 2025 Tobacco Changes
The Australian tobacco market changed significantly in 2025.
The new rules introduced changes to:
Flavours
Certain flavours, including menthol, rum and clove, were prohibited.
Accessories
Capsules, crush balls and flavour beads were prohibited.
Size
Cigarette dimensions were standardised.
Filters
Unique filter designs were prohibited.
Packaging
Cigarette packs now follow standardised quantities, including 20 cigarettes per pack and 10 packs per carton.
These changes matter when researching MAC because many international product descriptions may have been created before the current Australian rules came into effect.
13.0 MAC vs Super Slim vs Regular: Which Format Is Different?
A simple way to understand the product landscape is:
Regular
Traditional cigarette format.
Slim
Narrower than conventional cigarettes.
Super Slim
Even narrower format associated with products such as MAC and Oscar.
The exact physical dimensions of tobacco products are now subject to Australian standardisation, so older descriptions should be treated cautiously.

Australian rules: Current tobacco laws apply
This matters because the laws in Australia changed a lot starting July 1, 2025. Menthol and certain other flavours were prohibited, capsules and crush balls were prohibited, and cigarette dimensions and filters were standardised.
Therefore, older international MAC product descriptions should not automatically be treated as current Australian product information.
